Dear colleague,
As we all work quickly to adjust to the disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, many of us are finding ourselves leaning on our peers and our collective expertise to find innovative solutions and ideas to continue to meet the needs of our children, families and communities across the country.
There is an urgent need to efficiently connect and share, in real-time, the great work the early childhood community is doing. That is why I invite you to join our partners and peers on a new online platform, the Early Childhood Connector, so that we can more effectively work together to support our children and families during this crisis.
What is the Early Childhood Connector? Over the course of the last year, the Ounce has worked with a group of early childhood organizations, community leaders and experts to design a shared online community for our field.
While we continue to co-design a broader knowledge-sharing community and platform together – we have decided to accelerate access and launch the site early to facilitate a more cohesive and collaborative response to the crisis caused by COVID-19. Once you join, you can connect with others to access and share the ideas, resources and best practices being developed as a response to the pandemic. We hope this can be a space to consider the ways in which we can not only rebuild the early childhood systems after this crisis but built it back better and more resilient than ever.
To make the Connector a success, we need your help. I encourage you to join and share with your own networks so we can grow this platform into a vibrant community.
Together we can help connect, guide and support the early childhood field response to the COVID-19 crisis.
